Danforth Road SS4A Study

Study Information

Quick Links

The City of Edmond, Oklahoma is performing a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) study along Danforth Road. The goals of this study are to improve safety for all users, reduce traffic delays along the corridors, and enhance connectivity throughout the City of Edmond. Project goals will be achieved by identifying the transportation needs within the study area and prioritizing recommendations that improve safety for all modes of transportation.

Project Description

The study area encompasses approximately 5.2 miles of roadway within the City of Edmond. The study extends along Danforth Road from the western city limits (near Homestead Boulevard) to the intersection of Coltrane Road, along with two shorter connecting segments north of Danforth: New Stem Road from Danforth Road to Ryan Way Drive and N. Boulevard from Danforth Road to Timber Ridge Drive. Danforth Road is an east-west corridor within Edmond that connects Interstate 35 (I-35) with residential, commercial, and school properties in the northern part of the city.

What is SS4A?

Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) is a federal grant program created to help communities reduce and ultimately eliminate fatal and serious injury crashes for all roadway users.

Comments can be general notes or specific concerns related to safety in the area. The comment tool allows users an opportunity to provide feedback on areas of concern for all road users.
